Race Relations in Athos

Tier 1

A chosen race of Athos. Treated with the utmost respect by all other races, clearly the most powerful of the races. A PC in this tier will be expected to be civilized, and most likely be expected to have some sort of racism against Gnomes and lower races.

Tier 2

Athosian slave races. Those who are Gnomes or their descendants. Treated poorly, but still above the lesser tiers. A PC in this tier should expect to be treated like dirt, and either be an escaped slave or one employed by a Tier 1 race.

Gnomes
Svirfneblin
-(a underground bred race of Gnomes)
Halfling
-(as half Gnome)

Tier 3

Monster-like creatures. Sometimes seen in cities and occasionally hired for strange tasks. A viewing of one of these races would be a strange, uncommon occurrence. A PC in this tier should have a backstory explaining why they are accepted in society, or have a method of dealing with this strange relationship.

Bladeling
Changeling
-Can easily transform into a Tier 1 form (or any tier for that matter). Tend to stay in Tier 1.

-Can easily transform to Tier 1 form but very proud to stay in animal form and prefer to be in their natural form.

Satyr
Warforged
-Very rare, first built in the year 5500 of the Second Age on Grashnak.

Tier 4

A monster. Possible to be reasoned with, but usually not allowed to dwell in society. A PC with a Tier 4 race should expect constant threats and talking down to.
