The Second Child of Athos, Behemoth, The Reaping Hungar
Behemoth was born to a woman whose previous sons had become some of the greatest warriors in the land. However, Behemoth was born defective. In the beginning he seemed stunted though not impossible. However, he quickly developed a sinister split personality. Under exponentially increasing pressure from the secondary personality, he suffered incidents of seizures and astoundingly malicious outbursts of sheer brutality. It left Athos with a serious problem. Early developmental signs suggested that the power of Athos flowing through him was increasing rapidly and parallel with increasing severity of mental disturbance. One day, it snapped permanently, at the age of 7 he brutally massacred and subsequently devoured an entire town during an episode. His siblings then dubbed him The Reaping Hungar, misspelling hunger as a sort of quiet jest. At that point he was locked in the depths of Heaven so he might never do such a thing again. Since the episode there have been no instances of his primary personality returning. His mind remained void, as if exhibiting zero consciousness. Evidence suggests, however, that he is conscious and that the secondary personality is in control. Under the secondary’s supervision, the power pulsing through his veins was unable to be held back and continued to grow.
When the War of Failed Succession broke out, the chaos of the Athosians fleeing heaven caused the Holders of Famine to flee heaven, thus releasing Behemoth who flew down to Earth. Then began an all out search by both sides during the war to find him. The Noxarii found him first. He was used by Nox as a threat and would release him onto those who refused his commands. During a daring operation, he was retaken by the Athosians who used him as a weapon against the Noxarii by having him devour entire Shadar-Kai villages. In Archaic Athosianism he is considered the Demigod of Chaos and Bloody Massacres.
After the War, the demigods charged Ul-Nagor to build a containment field deep under the Andarii Ocean to teach him calmness and serenity. They received reports from the Holders of Famine up until 3478 of the Second Age. When it was investigated Behemoth had grown gargantuan and the Deva had been taken by Behemoth and suffered everlasting reincarnation within the containment chamber where they were destroyed again and again. The demigods chose to leave it there, since it seemed to give Behemoth entertainment, and anything that could keep the beast at bay was praised. No records indicate a return to his primary personality, though data is extremely limited as no permanent oversight remains.
